Holiday Themes That Your Employees Will Love

The pressure of the holiday season is real, especially when it seems like the ‘To Do’ list is never ending. That is why it is the perfect time of year to treat your employees to an epic holiday party at the office! -And we are here to help you plan!

To make sure your holiday party planning goes seamlessly, we have created a list of some fantastic holiday themes! These themes are sure to impress all your employees and showcase your appreciation for them.

Feliz Navidad

Whether you are hoping to create a new holiday tradition or looking for an alternative option from the standard turkey, mashed potatoes and green beans, trying out a festive South of the Border inspired theme will be perfect. And honestly … when have tacos ever been a bad idea?

A tip to create the perfect Feliz Navidad party is to include a build-your-own street taco bar! In addition to this taco bar, you can add some flavorful hors d’oeuvres such as our Taco Shrimp Ceviche, Smoked Stuffed Jalapeno and Mini Torta to create a full experience.

Holiday on the Beach

The holidays are such a special time of year, full of cheer and good times! However, many of us know that the holiday season means some colder days are ahead. Therefore, a great theme for your holiday party is a ‘Holiday on the Beach’ to warm up your guests.

For your beach theme, add a pig roast to your event! Your guests will not only get to taste delicious food, they will also get the chance to experience an on-site chef who can finish the roasting and carving of the pig.

Christmas in Vegas

Another theme that you can roll the dice on is a ‘Christmas in Vegas’ concept. This is a great theme that allows you to easily pair up food and entertainment to ensure a fun filled night for your employees. When deciding on your menu, going the route of finger foods is a great option since it also allows you to have a large variety of options to serve to your guests.

Serving up classics such as our Shrimp Shooters, Bourbon Cherry Crostini’s, Chicken Italiano Skewers, and Caramelized Onion & Bleu Cheese Tarts would work perfectly with this Vegas theme. Don’t forget another important aspect to a successful Vegas themed party, include some tasty drinks! We suggest including your typical beer & wine options, but also include a bubbly option like spiked seltzers, ciders or champagne will make for a perfect touch.

Candy Cane Lane

We definitely understand that sometimes budget is big factor in planning a holiday party. Therefore, we would like to suggest a theme that can be a bit more ‘budget-friendly’ … ‘Candy Cane Lane’. This theme is sure to be a real treat for your employees, especially when your menu offers a variety of everyone’s favorite holiday desserts! For a fun & festive menu, you can include delicious desserts like our Eggnog Trifle, White Chocolate Eclairs, Bouche De Noel, and of course, traditional Christmas Cookies!

A great take-away idea for this type of theme is offering a candy bar which employees can fill their bag with a variety of candy offerings. Let your employees feel like a kid in a candy store for the day!

Winter Wonderland

Our final idea is more of a holiday classic, the Winter Wonderland theme! This theme embraces the elegance of the holiday season with a romantic feel full of snowfall looks, silver & midnight blue colors. This is definitely a theme that you can dress up, especially when you are considering a more upscale feel for your holiday party. Your menu would not be complete if you did not include items such as our Winter Micro Salmon Slider, Sushi Station, Roasted Cauliflower Gazpacho Soup Shooters, and bring in a little heat with our Smore’s Station!

1. Guest Count & Venue The first area we must address is the guest count and your venue requirements. Depending on your venue, you will have to adjust your guest count while of course following the state guidelines. From there- we can get planning! Moving from a venue to your private residence? No problem! If you are using True Cuisine & Sweet Baby Ray’s as your catering vendor, we adjust to your venue with no problem. Here are some general areas to consider when adjusting to a new venue: Guest seating / overall new floor plan Food service style Menu & Bar Custom décor These areas will be explained next! 2. Floor plan Planning your floor plan can be tricky for micro weddings as we are still enforcing social distancing as much as possible- even at private residences! Limiting tables to 6 guests each is one way to enforce social distancing during dinner service. Allowing for as much space as possible between each guest table is also important for social distancing. If you are working with different rooms or a backyard- we make it work!

Tip 1: Spice Things Up with a Seasonal Cocktail! Looking for a simple, fun way to spice up your intimate holiday gathering? Adding a signature cocktail is a great way to kickstart your celebration. The Fall and Winter seasons are full of distinct flavors like nutmeg, cinnamon, rosemary and cranberry that pair beautifully with y o ur favorite spirits! Two of our favorite cocktails are the White Christmas Margarita and Jingle Juice. You can find the recipes for these by clicking here . Or, keep it simple by adding some peppermint flavored schnapps or spiked creamer to your favorite hot chocolate or coffee. Any of the spirits can be omitted or substituted with a non-alcoholic mixer for your younger or non-drinker guests. Cheers to a safe celebration!
